OUR VALUES

OUR STATE OF MIND

Our values shape our DNA, reflecting the unique blend of qualities found in every member of our global family.

They guide the way we work with our business partners, what we share with our travelers, and how we collaborate with each other.
We are guided by a set of 4 values, each chosen by the very people who embody them.

PASSION

We are deeply driven by the same desire: to explore wild, preserved & remarkable destinations across the world.

TEAM SPIRIT

Both on our travels and in the office, teamwork is at the heart of everything we do: we share, help each other and work in harmony.

SINCERITY

Be courageous, be honest and maintain a professional image.
In the spirit of kindness, we are always truthful.

RESPONSIBILITY

Our adventure trips are always focused on safety and respect, both for one another and for the territories we explore.

OUR HISTORY

Where we come from, and where we go

With great experience working as guides before establishing several Destination Management Companies (DMCs), Yannick Briand and Frédéric Oger are both passionate about travel and exploring natural landscapes. They have always been convinced that connecting with locals and direct management of the logistics are the corner stones of a successful trip. Their common values (passion, team spirit, sincerity and responsibility) drive them and their desire to create an adventure, far away from mass tourism.

Whilst many long standing players in adventure tourism have moved away from the countries they operate in, in 2014 Yannick and Frédéric decided to bring their DMCs and their teams together in a common project. Altaï Group was born, becoming a DMC network with more than 30 local agencies and 350 guides all over the world. Its promises are going off the beaten track, organising active trips, guaranteeing professional supervision and respecting people & our World. At the same time, pioneer brands in adventure travel such as Clubaventure (today Huwans), Atalante, 66°Nord and Stagexpé joined Altaï Group.

Initially a French-speaking company, today Altaï Group aims to widen its offer to more and more customers across the globe. That’s why in 2019 a British brand joined Altaï Group: Kandoo Adventures.
